Mother-Baby Care Visiting Information

Labor and Delivery visiting hours: variable and subject to patient condition and preference. Please check with the nurse.
Mother/Baby visiting hours: 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Golden Hour: We promote the first hour after delivery as the “golden hour”. The newborn remains skin to skin on the mother and breastfeeds. We encourage visitors to respect this important time of bonding.

We encourage photographing your experience with your new baby, Video recording of procedures is not allowed on the Mother/Baby Unit.

Staff members are required to wear their badges at all times while working.

Labor and Delivery

The Mother/Baby Unit and Pediatrics are secured and locked units. Please check in at the front desk when you are visiting a patient.

Moms may have up to three visitors at a time while in Labor and Delivery.

Staying at the bedside depends on the patient’s condition, available space and safety. Ask your nurse. We allow for one person over the age of 16 to stay the night. No additional persons or other children requiring care from a parent may stay the night.

Children younger than 12 must always be with an adult.

In consideration of patient confidentiality, we do not allow for visitors to wait in the hallways. Please respect the privacy of other patients and if you are visiting a friend or family member, visit them in the room or wait out in the designated waiting areas.

The waiting room has the following amenities for your comfort while waiting to visit your loved one: TV, chairs, coffee, and vending machines.

Immediate family members can also use Room Service along with their loved one by purchasing a Room Service meal voucher for $7.50 each at the Garden Room Cafeteria.

Visitors are welcome to dine at the Garden Room, our full-service cafeteria. The Garden Room is located on the lower level of the building and is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The cafe is closed daily from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Hot food is available throughout the day, and meals are served during the following hours:

• Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Daily
• Lunch: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Daily
• Dinner: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Daily

Our espresso bar J.B Steamers is located on the main level near the front entrance. Select from a variety of hot and cold beverages and snacks.
