Advance Care Planning Workshop December 14

It’s a jarring statistic. According to the Washington State Medical Association, 90% of people say talking to their loved ones about end-of-life care is important. However, only 27% of people have actually had the conversation. 82% of those same people say it’s important to put their wishes in writing…although only 23% have actually followed through.

Those statistics would be jarring, if we all weren’t so painfully aware of how hard many of us believe these conversations to be.

That’s why Confluence Health is presenting a FREE Advance Care Planning workshop December 14th from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Miller Street Sleep Center. Please bring anyone whom you feel may be a future health care agent to our workshop.

In the workshop, you will be encouraged to:

  • Think about your values and goals
  • Consider health care choices you may have to make in the future
  • Talk to hose important to you about your choices
  • Make a written plan for the future

To register for this free workshop, call to confirm your spot at 662-1511, ext. 3751, or email tamara.steffen@confluencehealth.org.
