Pharmacy Notice

At Confluence Health, we strive to provide the highest value healthcare, close to home. To do this, we must constantly evaluate how best to serve our communities.

Over the past couple years, we have found it increasingly difficult to compete with the buying power of large national chains in the retail pharmacy business. Because of this, we will be making changes to the Professional Pharmacy at Central Washington Hospital. Effective July 9, 2018, the pharmacy will stop filling routine outpatient prescriptions, except for those written by Physicians, PA’s, and Nurse Practitioners of Central Washington Hospital departments.

We believe we can provide the most value to the community by focusing our retail pharmacy services on patients being seen in the following areas:

– Discharged from Central Washington Hospital

– Discharged from the Emergency Department at Central Washington Hospital

– Home Health at Central Washington Hospital

– Hospice at Central Washington Hospital

– Oncology at Central Washington Hospital

We understand the inconvenience this may cause, but would like to assure you we are committed to making this a smooth transition for those of you who have entrusted us with your prescription needs.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and support as we continue to strive to provide you with the best care we can.

Should you have any questions regarding these changes, please do not hesitate to contact Cynthia Potts at 509.433.3030.

Sincerely,

Glenn Adams, PharmD, MBA

Senior Vice President of Ancillary Services
