Point of care
In addition to our onsite capabilities, we have established long-term associations with excellent secondary reference laboratories, such as University of Washington and Mayo Clinic.
Pathology is a medical specialty that provides the scientific foundation for medical practice. Working with all other medical specialties, a pathologist uses the tools of laboratory medicine to provide information essential to solving problems in clinical practice.
Accreditation and Licensure
Confluence Health’s Central Washington Hospital & Clinic is fully accredited by the Joint Commission. To maintain our level of excellence, our laboratory subscribes to strict quality assurance programs and is certified by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and is CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act) licensed. Aside from fostering self-development and continuing education, our staff is required to complete competency testing each year to remain proficient in their field.
