COVID-19 Visitor Policy

Safety is our top priority!
Everyone who enters must wear a mask, even if they are fully vaccinated.
The Centers for Disease Control and the State of Washington require everyone
to be masked in health care settings. Guidance from the CDC removing some
masking requirements for fully vaccinated people
still requires masking in health care settings.
Routine Visitation Temporarily Suspended
Valued patients and visitors – To ensure a safe environment for our patients, employees and community,
and in accordance with guidance from the CDC and Washington State Department
of Health, the following inpatient visitor guidelines are in effect:
For the purpose of this guideline, the term “visitor” means
immediate family members, close friend(s) when family is not available,
and religious leaders only.
Inpatient Visitor Policy
Visiting Hours:
- Confluence Health Hospital | Central Campus: 8:00am – 8:00pm
- Confluence Health Hospital | Mares Campus: 8:00am – 8:00pm
All Patients
- ALL patients are allowed visits from their religious leaders in addition to their designated visitor(s).

ALL authorized visitors will be asked to Self Screen* upon entry into the
hospital and follow all hospital guidelines including:
- Wearing a mask at all times while within the hospital
- Remaining in the patient’s room
- Complying with all infection control hospital requirements when visiting COVID-19 patient areas.
COVID-19 Patients: in isolation are not allowed any visitors with the following exceptions:
- End of life patients – Allowed two visitors at a time in the room with a maximum of six total visitors during end of life timeframe.
- Goals of care discussions – At the discretion of the department manager, two family members of significant other may be in the patient’s room during goals of care discussions.
- Obstetrics patients – Patients may have visitors on a case by case basis as determined by department leadership based on the needs of the patient.
- Visitors must be over the age of 18 except as otherwise authorized above. Exceptions for end of life patients as defined above may be made on a case by case basis.
Non-COVID-19 Patients:
- Non-COVID-19 adult patients on inpatient status may have two visitors per day.
- Non-COVID-19 pediatric patients on inpatient status may have two visitors per day and one may stay overnight.

Non-COVID-19 obstetrics patients may have two visitors during labor and delivery and one my stay overnight.
- Visitors must be over the age of 18
- ALL Non-COVID 19 patients near end of life may have two visitors at a time in the patient’s room with no limit on the total number of visitors. Those waiting their turn to visit the patient will not be permitted to congregate in hospital lobbies or waiting rooms.
Outpatient Policy
- Wearing a mask at all times while within the hospital.
- Patients who have a scheduled outpatient appointment, an outpatient procedure, or are visiting one of our walk-in clinics or emergency rooms are encouraged to come alone when possible. However, they may have one adult accompany them.
- Pediatric Emergency Department patients and those admitted on an inpatient status may have both parents accompany and visit them while in the ED or inpatient hospital room.
- Outpatient pediatric patients may be accompanied by no more than two adults/parents.
- Postpartum patients may bring their newborns to appointments.
- Parents may bring their small children to appointments if they have no other alternative for child care during their visit.
* Visitors with active COVID-19 symptoms or who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 7 days or been exposed to anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days will not be allowed in the hospital.
