Congratulations to Confluence Health oncology nurse navigator Laura Gaukroger-Holland, who received the 2026 Carl Kjobech Impact Award presented by Cancer Support Community Central Washington (formerly known as Wellness Place).
Created in the memory of Dr. Carl Kjobech, the award recognizes an individual whose influence, compassion and dedication have made a lasting difference in the lives of those impacted by cancer across Central Washington. This award honors someone who embodies the same spirit of kindness, strength, service and community that Dr. Kjobech shared so freely with others.
As the 2026 honoree, Laura was recognized for more than 40 years of caring and advocating for patients and families across Central Washington. As a nurse, educator and community volunteer, she has consistently gone beyond medical care to recognize and meet the needs of the whole person. From helping patients access critical equipment and medications to advocating for cancer education, survivorship, palliative care and compassionate support, Laura has spent her career doing the little things that become big things.
A true community gem, Laura embodies the compassion, service and unwavering dedication to others that the Carl Kjobech Impact Award was created to honor.
