Requirements

Solid administrative skills and medical terminology knowledge.

Prior hospital, MLS or transcription QA experience preferred.

Professional demeanor and attitude.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment without feeling overwhelmed.

Working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Computer-proficient.

Responsibilities

Follow-up with NTS Operations Manager/Team to resolve any identified transcription-related issues.

Maintain hospital files and clear suspense or error queue.

Handle report corrections and redistribute on a daily basis. Will keep a log to document date receipt and date corrected.

Facilitate corrections between hospital and NTS Team.

Maintain documentation log to ensure that follow-up and resolution of issues relating to transcription is accomplished.

Ensures that turnaround times, including reports in QA, are in contract compliance and collaborates with the appropriate team to identify cause.

Clear all Customer QA and missing ADT reports.

Document and enter new dictators in InVision.

Monitor all stat reports to ensure completion and delivery in timely manner.

Identify and document any issues, maintain an existing issue log; follow-up with the appropriate personnel for resolution and apprise hospital management of issue status.

Respond to user/dictator complaints or concerns, maintain log and communicate with appropriate staff.

Assist transcription support whenever necessary to assure timely distribution of NTS-transcribed reports to caregivers.

Edit transcribed EKGs and assemble EKGs per protocol.

Other HIM tasks may be assigned as needed.

Department Hours

Medical Information/Records is open and staffed 7 days a week including holidays. Staff rotate weekend and holidays.
