Job Description

Under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Speech Language Therapist provides professional services in diagnosing disorders and providing therapy for patients who demonstrate disorders of communication and/or swallowing referred by a Licensed Health Care Professional (LHCP). This includes evaluation of all assigned patients, the development of treatment plans, administration and implementation of the treatment program, and appropriate discharge planning.


A master’s degree from an accredited school for Speech Therapy. Two to three years of speech therapy experience preferred. Current State Licensure, certification of clinical competence by the American Speech and Hearing Association, current BLS for Healthcare Providers. Must possess basic computer skills related to Windows navigation, mouse usage, accurate keyboarding, email communication and password management. Must know principles, methods and theory of the practice of Speech Therapy. Must know pathologies and injuries which result in physical impairment. Must know basic principles of normal and abnormal pediatric development
