Located on the Central Campus of Confluence Health Hospital, the Mother-Baby Care Unit is here to support you through a comfortable and memorable birth experience. Our experienced nursing team provides compassionate, high-quality care in a welcoming environment designed for moms, babies and families. The Mother-Baby Unit is open 24/7 on the second floor of the patient tower. When you believe you are in labor or are advised to come to the hospital, please check in through the Emergency Department at the entrance with the red wall, where staff will assist you and escort you to the unit. Confluence Health Hospital also offers Level II care in our Special Care Nursery for infants who need extra support, with opportunities for parents to stay with their baby depending on circumstances.

TeamBirth

The goal of TeamBirth is to improve outcomes for birthing people and their babies through team huddles during key decision points throughout their hospital stay, ensuring they stay at the center of their care team. Shared planning boards, TeamBirth huddles and decision-support aids help provide all team members, including the patient, with an opportunity to participate equally. TeamBirth focuses on diversity and equality in the healthcare experience. TeamBirth reflects our commitment to improving communication and promoting positive change by focusing on the clinical and social factors that are shown to improve patient experiences and outcomes.
