Gynecologists are physicians and surgeons who specialize in women’s reproductive health. They provide essential care, including cancer and STD screenings, and support women through every stage of life. Women should schedule their first gynecology visit after their first period.
Our gynecology services include:
- Evaluation and treatment of abnormal Pap smears
- STD testing and treatment
- Contraception counseling
- Care for ovarian cysts, fibroids, endometriosis, and abnormal bleeding
- Treatment for urinary incontinence
- Minimally invasive surgery, including hysterectomy
Annual gynecology visits are recommended and typically include breast and pelvic exams to help screen for breast and ovarian cancer. Regular visits support early detection and help you better understand your personal health risks.
A certified nurse midwife (CNM) is educated and skillfully trained in both nursing and midwifery. CNMs offer primary healthcare for women providing well-woman care, reproductive and gynecologic healthcare, family planning and preconception care, prenatal care, childbirth and postpartum care, as well as newborn care.

Obstetricians provide care for women during pregnancy. Their job is to maintain the health of the mother and the baby through all trimesters. Every woman who is pregnant or thinking about getting pregnant should have an obstetrician they trust. Since the obstetrician will be your partner through the pregnancy and birth, it is important to work with one who listens to you and with whom you feel comfortable speaking openly. Your obstetrician will be your partner through the pregnancy and birth.

- Prenatal care

- Complete maternity care and delivery
- Ultrasound and fetal monitoring
Obstetricians can also assist women who are having trouble getting pregnant. Fertility issues are not uncommon. We know this can be frustrating, but there are many specialists and services that can help you find a solution.
