Confluence Health is now accepting applications for its 2026 Winter Neurology Pre-Health Clinical Rotation, which is a one-week program for students who are thinking about a career in healthcare and want to see what hospital medicine is really like. As Dr. Jennifer Wax shares, “This program gives students a firsthand look at medicine and inpatient neurology while helping them better understand what a career as a physician involves.”
The weeklong program offers participants an opportunity to shadow the inpatient neurology team, take part in educational sessions, and develop a project focused on education, quality improvement or a clinical case report. The experience is designed to provide a better understanding of the physician’s role and the realities of medicine while helping students explore their own healthcare career goals.
When asked about the program, the Confluence Health Student and Resident Services team said, “We hope students leave with new knowledge, meaningful experiences and a clearer understanding of the path they may want to pursue in healthcare.”
