Confluence Health Joins with Community Partners for Back-to-School Health Fair

On August 8, 2026, community partners came together for the annual Back-to-School Health Fair to help local students and families prepare for the upcoming school year. Despite a last-minute change in plans due to wildfire smoke, our partners, volunteers and community members worked together to ensure the event was a success—demonstrating the strength and resilience of collaboration across the Wenatchee Valley. The event welcomed approximately 1,700 community members and provided direct support to more than 1,100 children. Attendance exceeded expectations, with a continuous line of families seeking resources and school supplies.

Confluence Health was proud to partner with Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH) and numerous community organizations to provide school readiness resources and health education to local families. As part of our contribution, Confluence Health donated and distributed colored pencils and crayons to students and shared valuable back-to-school health and wellness information, helping families prepare for a healthy and successful academic year. Along with the main event, organizers coordinated an accessible pickup option for individuals and families who were unable to attend in person—reinforcing a shared commitment to equity and ensuring that community support reaches those who may face barriers to participation.

The Back-to-School Health Fair continues to be a powerful example of what can be accomplished when organizations work together with a common goal. Confluence Health is grateful to CVCH, our community partners, volunteers and the many families who participated in this year’s event and helped make it another successful start to the school year.
