James Murray, MD

Dr. Murray serves as chief physician executive, a role focused on strengthening physician leadership and advancing how care is organized, accessed and delivered across Confluence Health. He works closely with physicians, care teams and operational and executive leadership to improve alignment, consistency and patient outcomes throughout the system. When practicing, Dr. Murray works as a hospitalist and is board certified in internal medicine. Receiving his medical degree from Loyola University, Dr. Murray completed an internship in general surgery at Portsmouth Naval Hospital and later a residency in internal medicine from Grand Rapids Medical Education and Research.
