Local Events Support a Healthy Community

The Wenatchee Pachanga & Mercadito block party events hosted by CAFÉ continue to bring community together through culture, connection and access to resources. Located at 620 Lewis Street, these recurring gatherings create a welcoming space for families to learn, engage and support one another.

For anyone unfamiliar with these events, a pachanga is a fun gathering or party typically accompanied by music and dancing, while a mercadito is a public place with shops or stalls featuring food and other basic necessities (similar to a farmers’ market). In April and June 2026, these events welcomed an average of 100 community members and more than a dozen organizations that provided valuable resources, education and support to attendees. This strong turnout reflects the importance of culturally responsive spaces centered around connection, learning and wellness.

Confluence Health is proud to support this work through a $10,000 investment in Building Healthy Youth Through Education. This initiative empowers youth by providing vouchers to purchase healthy foods while also learning about nutrition, budgeting and making informed choices to support long-term health. The Wenatchee Pachanga and Mercadito events go beyond a single day by helping to build skills, confidence and access for families across our community.
