Confluence Health Power Outage at Central Campus
At about 3:45 a.m. on December 17, 2025, strong storm winds caused a power outage at Confluence Health Hospital's Central Campus, cutting power to parts of the facility and briefly stopping elevators. Our emergency generators experienced a delayed and intermittent start, but engineering and other teams responded quickly to begin restoring power and systems are now back online.
Out of an abundance of caution, we paused surgeries and some appointments until a stable energy source could be fully confirmed. Affected patients were contacted directly. Power has since been fully restored, and we continue to monitor stability as utility crews work with us to ensure full resolution.
We are deeply grateful to our clinical teams, who acted immediately to protect and care for patients. No injuries or safety issues occurred. We also thank our engineering and support teams for their rapid response and our local utility partners for working alongside us to resolve the situation.
We apologize for any concern this outage caused to patients, families and staff, and we are thankful for all who worked together to keep our community safe.
