Finding the right fit in a behavioral health provider is critical. At Behavioral Health Youth & Family Services, you’ll find licensed, trained professionals who are caring, highly skilled, and compassionate to the needs of your child and your family.
Provide comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families. Our services include individual, group, and family counseling, as well as evaluations for medication and medication stabilization services. We partner with your child’s primary care provider, school, and other outside agencies, as appropriate, to ensure that the care we
provide addresses all relevant aspects of your child’s health and well-being.
Behavioral Health services are a collaborative process which may include working with both a therapist and a prescriber on the care team. A therapist provides counseling services which focus on specific behaviors, emotions, and/or ineffective thinking processes. A prescriber focuses on medications which target specific symptoms, as well as providing some brief, solution-focused counseling.
Our counselors and prescribers are skilled and experienced in working with youth with a variety of challenges. Our staff are trained in a variety of evidence-based practices. The most commonly used evidence-based approaches for the treatment of psychological symptoms involve Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The effectiveness of CBT has been demonstrated for a wide range of symptoms in children and adolescents.
