Why Work for Us

What does it take to succeed as a Confluence physician? This is challenging medicine that demands a diverse skillset, and a doctor who is prepared every day to offer something completely new. In a job as distinct as this, there’s no hiding away or blending into the crowd. You’re responsible for the health and wellness of a town—an opportunity few physicians get to experience. Of course, you’ll also be joined by a team of elite doctors and leading technology to make your quest a total success.

We Have a Vision for the Future

At Confluence Health, our goal is to improve the delivery of health care for residents of North Central Washington, by continuously improving quality and safety while lowering cost, to provide value for our patients. We believe it is critical that our patients have local access to a wide range of high quality, affordable healthcare services, and strive to continue building a regional healthcare network.

Our journey of performance improvement is guided by the ideal patient experience, and we actively look for ways to provide our care more efficiently and effectively. Also, we teach—Confluence Health is the original WWAMI teaching site, through the University of Washington, and has participated in teaching medical students for 50 years. This program gives students first-hand experience of practicing primary care in a rural setting, to help train the next generation of doctors.

We Have a Supportive Environment

Physicians at Confluence Health experience the best of both worlds: the ability to practice state-of-the-art medicine, while relying on administration to keep the business running smoothly. Moreover, physicians in our rural clinics are just a phone call, email, or video conference away from the support of their colleagues, regardless of location. Just because they practice rural medicine doesn’t mean these partners are on their own.

Our specialists who are based in Wenatchee also make outreach to regional clinics a priority. Our doctors and patients benefit from strategic partnerships with the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, Virginia Mason, and UW School of Medicine. We’ve integrated these partnerships to bring a broader range of resources to the smaller communities we serve.

The Quality of Life Enjoyed by our Physicians is Unparalleled

Our region offers a diversity of recreational opportunities in breathtaking landscapes, from alpine country to the high desert, from cross country skiing to fly fishing, with everything in between. Cycling, mountain biking, rafting, hiking—it is all right here. The region also offers a family friendly environment with good schools and opportunities for the entire family to be involved in culture and arts.

Small community immersion means the farm-to-table lifestyle is just out your door, in a region that is world-renowned for the quality of fruit it produces. You want to work and live where we do now, enjoying all four seasons in open country. The trappings of major metropolitan life are a short drive from most anywhere in our network.
