Health Equity

Health Equity means everyone has access to quality health care and can live a healthy life, regardless of factors such as race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, religion, and socioeconomic status.

Confluence Health has committed to reducing disparities in care by signing the AHA pledge. Our first commitment of the pledge focuses on “increasing the collection and use of race, ethnicity, language preference and other socio-demographic data”. In addition to recognizing the needs of our patients, the Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (HEDI) committee was formed to help shape the culture of our diversity and inclusion and better engage all employees.

Diversity and Inclusion

By nurturing an environment of diversity and inclusion at Confluence Health:

  • Our employees have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
  • We attract and retain top talent.
  • We provide our patients with a personalized exceptional experience by better understanding who they are.

How We See It

Diversity
A collective mixture of differences and similarities, including individual and organization characteristics, values, beliefs, experience, backgrounds, preferences and behaviors.

Inclusion
An organizational behavior where all employees are treated fairly and respectfully, have equal access to opportunities and resources, and can contribute fully to organizational success.
